Fontana's interest in food and cooking was awoken while living in New York as she worked with former Top Chef host, Padma Lakshmi. The model come chef was writing a cookbook and enlisted Fontana to be part of the process. During this experience, she was introduced to different Asian food markets in all their glory. It inspired her to photography unique vegetables, fruits, fish, and noodles in an other wordly way - something she became particularly obsessed with during the pandemic when she was experimenting with different cuisines.

Holy Mackerel Dessert Plate by Shayna Fontana

The “Fetish” collection by Soledre is inspired by the fetish world, utilizing materials such as latex, wax and leather. Just like our the human body, these objects are delicate and require proper aftercare in order to thrive.
This vase was casted in translucent paraffin wax, its surface was then textured using heat giving it a melted look.
The vase is watertight, it should not be directly exposed to intense sunlight or kept in temperatures exceeding 47 Celsius (117 Fahrenheit).
